The lord mayor of Limerick and Willie O’Dea are campaigning to have Limerick pubs opened on Good Friday. They are basically saying the Irish are not capable of enjoying a game of rugby while sober. This is an insult to the Irish people and to the game of rugby.

I hope the people of Limerick and Ireland will stop apologising for the fact that we acknowledge and respect the sacrifice Jesus made on Calvary.

Thirty pieces of silver did not make Judas any happier and 30 million on Good Friday will not make Limerick any happier. There are an awful lot of other things to do when visiting Limerick. Who knows, the city might even benefit more financially on the day, if people do a bit of sober thinking and spending. – Yours, etc,

Persons that we would invite to attend the seminar from your club are the Child Welfare Officer, Member of the Club Executive, Youth/Mini Coordinator – that is not to say that should other interested parties wish to attend they are more than welcome.

All Seminars commence at 7.30pm sharp and will run for only an hour.

DLSP……17 MALAHIDE U16s ….17

As a Cup game, this had it all. A stirring comeback, a superb drop goal to level the scores, and then a missed penalty kick with the last play of the game. In the end, it would have been a travesty for either side to have lost this match, a game that would have been good enough to grace the Cup Final itself. League champions against league runners up in the latest instalment of a titanic series of battles between these two clubs; DLSP have had the better of their previous encounters with two wins, but in the two drawn matches, Malahide have shown enough to suggest that they have what it takes to trouble a superb DLSP side, who have made short work of every other team they have played.
