Popularity: 164 viewsThe Malahide vetarans, all registered players aged 35 or over on January 1st, are back in full swing with a full series of matcahes over the next two months.
This starts on Friday 12th February with a home fixture against Lansdowne. We will have some other ‘friendlies’ followed by a run in the Fox Cup.
We are always looking for players to join the winningest team in Malahide. Give Ken McCabe a shout or just bring your gear down on Friday. Experience preferable but not essential!
When the Malahide over 35’s team arrange a friendly game you can usually expect a few things to happen. The weather is normally good, the match will normally start at least 30 minutes late and 5 minutes before kick off you normally don’t know how many players you have or what position they will be playing at.
So it was business as usual on Friday 17th October when the long awaited friendly against a visiting Carlow team started an hour late with each team fielding 12 players (15 of them from Malahide) under the lights on a perfect night for rugby.
