Good number of sessions completed to date vast improvements on speed and agility seen in players over such a short space of time. A number of players were invited to train with the seniors this week and last week which is showing the progression from underage to mens rugby is being achieved. This week there will not be any training as the pitches have taken a bit of a hammering with the bad weather players will be advised to get a gym session in friday to account for the lost session. The gym will be free untill 6 30 then Richy Forbes has got group classes feel free to join the classes at 5 euro a session or if not get in before 630. Please like the facebook page Malahide academy for more frequent updates and training tips.

Tip and Tag back on Tonight!
Tip Per usual tonight. There is prehab work with Alan for anyone that is interested from 6:50 – 7:30. (core, hamstrings, hip-flexors)
Well gents Thursday 24th May sees the 3rd round of the Malahide “Mad Croc” tip tournament in the club. The format will consist of 4 teams playing in a round robin format over a couple of weeks with a Grand Final to cap it all off Leinster in Southern France style. The rules will be free flowing and Fiji like with a heavy emphasis on giving me the pill. All standards are welcome and that includes vets as I will be selecting mixed sides to ensure the young fit fellas don’t make fools of us all.
There will be a BBQ and drinks promos running through the season so if you’d like to join us drop me a mail at leinsterfan@hotmail.com
MRFC End of Season Day
Schedule
Players/Members/Parents,
As you are aware this year’s end of season day will start with what we hope will become an annual event, The tractor pull & Sponsored walk. Due to traffic restrictions, the Garda have requested that we schedule the passing of the pull through Malahide Village to keep traffic congestion to a minimum. We also have the Heineken Cup semi-final, which kicks off at 3.00pm. So to that end the following is the schedule for the day.
10.15am: Senior teams and youth teams from U14-U19 meet in the club Car Park.
10.30am: Leave the car park through with the tractor and walkers.
11.00am: Youth & Mini teams from U10-U13 assemble in Castle Car Park at Bridgefield.
11.15am: Youth & Mini teams from U10-U13 join walk returning from the village
11.30am: Minis from U6-U9 assemble in club.
11.45am: Minis from U6-U9 leave club through rugby gate to Seabury and walk across Seabury
green, crossing the road at pedestrian lights into green in front of Centra.
12.00pm: Minis join returning walkers through the bottom gate at Seabury green and walk remainder to club along Estuary Rd.
12.30-1.30: Collection of cards and monies in the rugby bar, followed by complimentary drink and snack for all who participate.
1.45pm Mini player medal presentation, on pitch, weather permitting.
2.15pm: Youth player presentation, depending on weather & numbers either in the main room or outside on the deck.
3.00pm: Heineken Cup Semi-final on the big Screen/ bouncy castles, BBQ & Spit Roast outside.
Please note that finishing times are approximate, as this will depend on the traffic. We would welcome any adults who will help with stewarding the walk. Please let yourselves be known on the morning of the walk.
Stay and support Leinster V Clermont in the Heineken Cup Semi-final on the big screen.
