Super 12’s Are Back

Super 12’s is back, but a little Different this season. This Disco is ONLY for 6^th Class students. It is on from 7.30pm until 10pm on Fri 10^th of Sep.

Limited number of Tickets for this Friday’s Super 12’s will go on sale in the club on

Thursday the 9th at 7.00pm, Cost €8.00

MRFC are also launching a new Disco for 1^st year students ONLY. This is called “FRESHERS” Disco, and the first one is on Fri 24^th Sep from 8pm until 11pm. Keep an eye on this website for further information about ticket release date.

Lets Help Inishowen RFC

Inishowen RFC are the Ulster finalists ( and only rugby club ) in the Kellogs competition to win a make over. Lets all support them by voting for a rugby club:

I note that the other 3 provinces are GAA clubs – as if they were short of money !!!

Here is what Pat sent to me:

“Asking a bit of a favour from you to support the club from my wife’s home town, that I’ve turned out for a couple of times and that came down from Donegal to play us last year and drank a lot beer in our club.

They’ve entered the Kelloggs competition to win €100,000 towards re developing their pitch, which you’ll see from their entry is in dire need of repair. They won the Ulster vote and are now in competition against representatives from the four provinces. They are the only rugby club left.

Voting is online and free. You can vote daily up until the closing date, 28th October 2010. The link is below.

Also, for all you Crunchy Nut and Cornflakes eaters, the tokens on the packets are worth 5 votes, so if you can cut them out and give them to me, that would be great too.

John Madden Trophy

Yesterday saw 4 teams ( Cym, Guiness, Unidare and Emerald Warriors ) competing for the honour of being the first team to win this new trophy.

New Season Starts!!

The new season starts for the Malahide Senior Mens squad tonight, 27/08. A Malahide selection will face the tough opponents of Monkstown RFC in the Jim Byrne cup. Kick Off is at 8 o’clock and ALL support would be very much welcomed by players and coaching staff.

We hope to see as many of you as possible out supporting your local club who are looking to build on a fantastic season last year, which included a league win!!!

Youth & Mini coaches meeting

On Tuesday 31st August at 8pm all youth and mini coaches are invited to a pre season meeting in the main function room. Please make every effort to attend. Updates will be given on the comming season, registration/family day, competitions being entered, referees,courses available, coach the coaches,first aid, and an introduction to our new CCRO aswell as Q & A. We will try and keep it to an hour.

2010 Pre-Season Training and BBQ

Pre-season training reached its peak on Saturday when the players and coaches did a full day of training, eating, meeting, and playing several short matches.
